Debain to change the name of firefox ? What?
Apparently mozilla has been protective of firefox trademarks lately
which is very uncommon for “free”(as in free speech) software …debain does not aggree with this…they believe that its not really “free”(as in speech) …They plan to change the name of firefox in all of its distros ….Wow….Mozilla WTF? …I never though mozilla would do something like this … Whats next … We switch back to IE ?

The reasons stem from Mozilla’s recent insistence on trademark fidelity and its preferences regarding Firefox patches. Debian doesn’t want to accept the original trademarked fox & globe logo; they don’t see it as really ‘free’ to use. On the other hand, Mozilla doesn’t want Firefox distributed under that name if it lacks the logo. Mozilla also wants Debian patches to be submitted to them before distribution, and claims that’s what others (Red Hat and Novell) are already doing. But some believe development and releases will slow down if distribution-specific patches have to be checked and accepted first. We will surely see more clashes between copyright claims and ‘really free’ distros such as Debian. Ubuntu is also asking similar questions.” No word yet what the new name will be or what the logo will look like.

Back at wordpress
Hmm…remember when I said that I was going “Out on my own” to run my own webserver and drupal…
Well…Im back…and so I come crawling back to Wordpress.com
Sure Drupal Might have more features…but its not just about the checks in the boxes
the reason I came back to wordpress is because of the community 
and people actualy read my blog *Gasp*
So expect a lot more content to come on this blog and also my other blog Download of the Day

In case Anyone was wondering where I have been…I have moved off of wordpress.com to a drupal powered site at twol.dreamhosters.com
I’m almost certain I will come back to wordpress once they have more features added to the site (wordpress.com)
