Linux Audio Tip #1 , how to use ssh public key authentication

Hey , this is mike with quick linux tip
SSH Public Key Authentication
This will allow you to ssh into any machine , without a password
We can do this in three steps
one , generate a key , to do this just type *ssh-keygen*
two , get the public key , we do this by typing
cat ~/.ssh/(id_rsa.pub) then copy that to your clipboard
three ssh into your host machine , type echo -ne ”
then paste the key then a ” then type >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
now next time you ssh into that machine , it won’t prompt you for a password

I mentioned Feed2podcast(.com) Before in my Podcast your gmail post

Now I Found another great hack for them…I have made my own blog here into a podcast with my Ad-free feed2podcast account generously donated after the mix-up and I found a cool way to make podcast downloads available

Why not make a widget ? Wordpress suports rss widgets so why not put it there so thats what im going to do…to download any of my posts as a podcast just look at the rss feed called Podcast in my sidebar

This is one of the firsts posts I wrote on my blog…but I was just learning about blogging so It had no tags or catagories therefore nobody found it , it was also all 1 paragraph so here is Podcast your gmail 2.0 Now with 100% MORE TAGGING and 100% more ordered lists
This is a tutorial on how to get your Gmail delivered in voice form to your iPod (or any other mp3 player) as a Podcast

here are the steps:

1. get your gmail feed the feed is https://username:password@gmail.google.com/gmail/feed/atom where username is your username and password is your password
2. navigate to feedburner.com and enter yoru feed into the box on the homepage
3. Create a Feedburner Account If you dont already have one (if you do just login)
4. head to http://feed2podcast.com and sign up for an account there
5. once you have an account , sign in and click “burn new feed here”, you will have to fill in every box but you can put whatever you want in it, once you create your podcast feed at the end of the page where it says “or copy your url”

copy the url in the box and open itunes (or any other podcast client of your choice)

6. and go to advanced –> subscribe to podcast
7. enter the url you copied before into this box
8. hen right click your feed and click update , there you go gmail podcast
